7 Days Kenya Wildlife & Bird-watching Safari

Day 1: Samburu Game Reserve

On the first day of your Kenya Bird Watching Safari, depart from Mombasa and fly to Samburu Game reserve. It is within the lands of the colorful Samburu people, close relatives of the Maasai, and is home to a number of wildlife species rarely found elsewhere in Kenya: reticulated giraffe, and Beisa Oryx, all found only north of the equator.

Overnight to be spent at a lodge/ Camp of your choice.

Day 2: Full day at Samburu

Spend a full day at Samburu with game drives and activities including visit to the neighboring Samburu villages.

Day 3: Aberdare National Park

After breakfast depart Samburu Game Reserve for Aberdare National Park arriving at in time for lunch. Later transfer to your tree hotel for relaxation and game view. You can also go bird watching in the park.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park

You will be transferred to the main hotel where you will meet with your guide and proceed with your journey to lake Nakuru national park which is home to every flamingo in Kenya, a spectacular ocean of pink surrounded by forest and plains that are home to lions, large herds of waterbuck & many others.

Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge/camp. Afternoon game drive follows with a
Visit to the baboon cliff. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or Camp.

Day 5 & 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast, take a drive to the great Mara where you will experience wildlife in its pristine environment, and savor the rustic luxury at your lodge /Camp. An optional hot air balloon ride can be organized for you at an extra cost.

Day 7: Departure

Depart after breakfast, travel back to Mombasa arriving in the afternoon or early evening.

7 Days Kenya Explorer Safari

Day 1: Mombasa

On the first day of your Kenya Explorer Safari, you will be met & transferred to your hotel of choice by your driver/guide for some relaxation in preparation for your week-long tour.

Day 2: Mombasa- Lake Nakuru National Park

You will depart in the morning shortly after breakfast and begin your safari flying to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in good time to check in and have lunch at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp. After a little relaxation, head out on your afternoon game drive in this park that is often referred to as a bird-watcher’s paradise. Drive back to the camp in time for dinner and overnight stay (full board).

Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara National Reserve

Have an early breakfast, and then depart to Masai Mara National Reserve by road. Enjoy a game drive on your way out of the park and the magnificent view as you descend the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch at Ol Moran Tented Camp. Later, you can choose to go out on an afternoon game drive and then return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay (full board).                                                                           

Days 4 and 5: Masai Mara National Reserve

The 4th & 5th days shall be spent in Masai Mara, both accompanied by morning and afternoon game drives or full-day game drives with packed lunches. All meals and the overnight stay at Ol Moran Tented Camp is on full board. Maasai Mara is known as the home of the big 5 & is also where the great Wildebeest Migration takes place each year.

Day 5 & 6: Naivasha

Have an early morning game drive and head back to the camp for breakfast. Check out and depart for Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. 

Day 7: Depart: Naivasha – Moi International Airport (Mombasa)

Have breakfast at the resort, and then drive back to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at Moi International Airport in good time for your flight back home.

This is a 3 Days Tsavo West & Amboseli  safari tour leaving  the Kenya Coast . We shall  visit the scenic Tsavo west National Park and the Amboseli national park at the floors of the Mount Kilimanjaro.

 A night will be spent at each of the National parks.

Safari program

Day 1: Kenya Coast-Tsavo West: 240 km: Appx: 5hrs

We start early on our Kenya safari tour  via the Nairobi – Mombasa highway.

There shall  be a pit  stop  for breakfast cum refreshments along the safari route.

We enter the Tsavo West national park  in the mid-morning and commence game viewing in search of elephants, giraffe, zebra, ostrich, lion, eland, kudu, gazelle etc.

Later we  proceed for an afternoon game viewing drive with a visit to the rhino sanctuary.

Overnight shall be at your Tsavo west safari lodge/ tented camp.

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

Day 2: Tsavo west- Amboseli: 140 km: Appx: 3hrs. :

“The early bird catches the worm!”

We test this old saying by embarking on an early morning game spotting  and scenery viewing drive at the Tsavo west National Park.

The african sunrise, the freshness and beauty of the wild together with the animal sightings shall be the highlights of our morning.

We shall spectate as the browsers and predators move about  unperturbed by the human presence.

We shall head to the Mzima Springs where we view hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish and a variety of bird species.

The greenery surrounding the springs is a welcome contrast to the arid  terrain that forms the bulk of the  Tsavo West.

The 100 kms drive to the Amboseli national park shall be through wild country.

5 Days Ngutuni Taita / Salt Lick / Amboseli

DAY 1: Mombasa-Ngutuni

On the firs day of your Salt Lick & Amboseli Safari, start with an early morning pick up from your hotel. We then embark on our journey shortly thereafter.  We shall drive to Ngutuni Sanctuary where you will enjoy game watching en-route. Arrive at Ngutuni game sanctuary in time for lunch and check in.

Afternoon game drive until late in the evening.

Dinner and overnight at Ngutuni Sanctuary.

DAY 2: Ngutuni – Salt Lick

Have an early morning game drive. Return to lodge for breakfast and check out. Game drive en-route to Taita Salt Lick Sanctuary. Arrive at the Sarova Salt Lick Game Reserve in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive until late in the evening.

Dinner and overnight at Taita Sarova Salt Lick

Day 3: Salt Lick- Amboseli

Early morning game drive. Return to lodge for breakfast. 

Freshen up and relax a bit. The depart for Amboseli National Park. We shall then check in at Oltukai lodge for lunch and rest.  Later enjoy an afternoon game drive at The park which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains.

Dinner and overnight at your Oltukai lodge.

Day 4: Amboseli – Tsavo East

Enjoy an early morning breakfast. Then depart Amboseli for Tsavo East. Check in and have lunch at your lodge. Enjoy an afternoon game drive.

Dinner and overnight at your preffered Tsavo East Lodge.

Day 5: Tsavo East- Mombasa

Early morning game drive. Return to lodge for breakfast and relaxation. Then depart for Mombasa in the afternoon. 

We shall drop you off at your hotel or Airport.

3 Days Camping Trip in The Great Rift Valley

Day 2: Mt. Longonot – Lake Elementaita

Enjoy an early morning game drive at Mt. Longonot National Park.

Return for late breakfast.

Relax a bit and then depart for Lake Elementaita after lunch.

Dinner and overnight at your L. Elementaita Lodge/tented camp.

Highlights of this tour include: The “Kekopey” hot springs, zebras, gazelle, elands and warthogs at L. Elementaita. Also, there are over 100 species of migratory birds, including the African Spoonbill, Black-Necked Grebe, Yellow Billed Stork, Gull Billed Tern, Pied Avocet, Black Winged Stilt, and Grey-Headed Gull.
